About the history of the Gini Vadász Kennel.
We are a Dutch family and we now live in Hungary permanently since july 2007.
The first time when we met Hungary was during our vacation in 1993 and after that we came back every year.
In 1999 we bought our own house in Hungary and first we used it as a holiday house, but we got the opportunity to live here and there was nothing that could have stopped us from doing so.
We have had dogs for all of our lives and when we met a Vizsla in 1994 we fell in love with these beautiful dogs. At that time there were not much Vizsla's in Holland.
So our first Vizsla was a real Hungarian bitch that we bought from a hunter. Her name was Ujkéri Vadász Gini. We made all the paperwork in order with the Hungarian breeding association so we could breed in Holland.
In Holland we bred for several years with her and with other breeders we made the Vizsla quite popular. From this motherdog came a lot of champions for fieldwork and shows.
We still have a daughter and some grandchildren from her, so she is still represented in our kennel. It is a tribute to our first dog that we named our kennel after her.
We started to mate Gini with an Europian champion from England and after that we used several Australian champions to mate with our other bitches. So we have very interesting bloodlines, as well for workingdogs or for showdogs. But the most important thing is that the Vizsla is a very friendly openminded dog who loves to be with her "family".
